Video SOP Training System for Factories: AI-Powered, Multilingual, Compliance-First

QAAD's video SOP training platform is built for the factory floor: AI auto-subtitle/TTS/quiz, version control + approval, multi-tenant, ISO/IATF-ready compliance export. Not a school-style LMS.

A 2,000-employee factory in Bac Ninh onboards ~800 newcomers and rotates ~600 workers every year. Paper-based SOP training no longer scales: heavy printing, zero reading, and no evidence of compliance when an auditor shows up.

QAAD built a video SOP training system purpose-built for the factory floor — not a school-flavoured LMS.

Content pipeline: 80% automated by AI

A manager uploads one 2–5 minute operation video. The system takes over:

Auto subtitles via Gemini 2.5 Flash → WebVTT file.
Auto translation (VI / EN / JP / CN / TH / MS) in seconds.
Multi-voice TTS for workers who prefer narration (night shift, foreign workers).
Auto quiz from the transcript — AI writes multiple-choice questions that test comprehension.
FFmpeg → HLS transcode for smooth playback on weak mobile or 3G.

Employee experience — as frictionless as possible

Workers don't create accounts. They don't remember passwords. They enter an employee code (or scan a badge) and start training. This came from reality — night-shift operators don't want to install apps.

Mandatory quiz — compliance, not grading

Default pass score: 70% (configurable).
Retry limit enforced; every attempt logged with score, timestamp, attempt number.
An SOP is "complete" only when the quiz passes — no backdoor.
The dashboard shows who has completed, not a school-style leaderboard.

Version control + approval workflow

Factory SOPs keep changing — new machines, new materials, new procedures. The system enforces a review workflow and freezes the published version: video, subtitles, quiz are all snapshotted. Workers always learn the current version; older versions are kept for audit forever.

Multi-tenant — one workspace per factory

A company owner manages multiple departments (assembly, QC, warehouse, maintenance…).
SOPs are pinned to specific departments via required_department_ids. Warehouse staff aren't forced to watch welding SOPs.
RBAC: OWNER / ADMIN / USER with plan-based storage and seat limits.

Compliance dashboard — for auditors, supervisors, plant managers

At month-end an FDI customer needs ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 evidence — CSV export is enough: every employee, every SOP, every view, every quiz score. HR and QA save a lot of manual work.
